The Rules and Regulations
Down below is our list of rules. Please read over these rules carefully and understand them completely before applying for a character. Failure to understand and comply to our rules may lead to the deletion of your application and your acceptance to the game denied.
Age
You must be at least 15 years of age in order to join this game. This means that in this game language, mild sexual content, and violence will be used here. We are especially a big fan of violent scenes, which means that there's no telling what will happen and it might get as gory as the players want it to get. Possibilities here are limitless when it comes to violence.
By joining, even though you may be of age, you must also read over the Proboards TOS. This means sexual content (we do however, allow the fade it black way), racism, drug promotion, or anything that goes against the Proboards TOS is not allowed here. While we where once hosted on our own servers where we allowed everything, Shiho decided to change to Proboards due to the features which we receive.
Applying
Read over everything on the Wiki before applying. We can easily tell that you haven't read the Wiki if you fail to do something so simple in your application. And if we do notice this, we will automatically reject your application on the spot and tell you to go back to read the Wiki.
Secondly, when you're done with your application, make sure that you are 100% done with your application. This means you have no mistakes whatsoever on your application and you're completely sure of yourself that you are finished. Do not; in anyway, submit an incomplete application with very little detail! If you take a look at other applications, you'll end up realizing on how advance Cryptic Darkness is when it comes to character creation. Thus meaning, we expect DETAILED applications. And unfortunately, we'd also like to state that we do not in anyway, go lightly on anyone's application. Lets just make this clear. If we find something wrong in your application, we'll point it out to you. Please do not feel as though you are being personally criticized, as we are only here to help YOU and make your character creation skills better!
Also be aware that when applying, if you got a low score on your application, do not submit it right away. Take at least a week to look back into it. If you continue to get low scores after a week when you submitted your application, double the week to two and then resubmit it after two weeks. You are welcome to submit your application as many times you want. But please be aware that staff do reserve the right to tell you that if you're submitted it too many times, and your application was still not accepted, we may end up telling you that you should either take a break from that character and think things over, or apply for a different character.
If you are unsure of what to do on your application, DO NOT HESITATE to ask a MOD on the forums! There is a Questions and Suggestions area on the forums that is GUEST FRIENDLY and is welcome for everyone to submit anything they have in concern to Cryptic Darkness. If you ask a question, you are sure to get an answer from anyone, even if it isn't a mod. Whether it is the Game Mistress herself, the Moderators, or the members, you'll receive an answer from anyone. Before asking a question however, please make sure you read our Wiki and FAQ section before asking. It may be already answered there!
When you are finished with your application, please submit all applications in the registration section of the forums under the appropriate category. If it is sent through email, or any other form of method it will be rejected and thrown in the trash bin without even bothering to look at it.
Also, all Pop Quiz's must be sent to Shiho (Mitsuko Kougetsu) through PM on the forums. Any applications submitted with a Pop Quiz on the application thread will be rejected without even receiving a review.
Character Creation
Characters are not allowed to be related to canon characters in any way, unless they are from the canon itself. This means that I don't want to see any relatives, or family members not mentioned in the canon that are related to lets say Usagi who's now known as Sailor Ma'at. The only exception for this rule is if you have asked the administrative team, and they have given you permission. If they haven't, then you aren't allowed to create a character that is related to any canon character.
You are only allowed to start off with 4 characters if you are a new member of the game. We have changed things since the last set of rules. If you are a current member of the game and have already exceeded this limit, you are capable of creating one more character. You can however, send a PM to Shiho on the forums and we'll discuss things in relation to this issue. When creating more than one character, please try to apply for a character from each group. Don't apply for a character from the same group at once. You should also try to keep or male to female ratio at an even pace. This means that if you see more females than males, please apply for a male character. If you see more males than males, then apply for more females. Also before applying for another character, please have been here at least a month. Applications that are submitted for another character in less than a month of time will be rejected until a month has passed and we believe you can handle it.
Mary-Sue's, Gary-Stu's, Scary-Loo's, are not allowed here. A Mary-Sue is generally a perfect character with no flaws, while Gary-Stu is the male counterpart of the character. Scary-Loo's are your typical Goth wanabee's that hate the world. These are not allowed in this game.
In regards to the Legendary Senshi, all Legendaries are under 'disguise' This means that if you're playing as Usagi who was once Neo-Queen Serenity, she is currently under a disguised form. They have a new disguised name, such as Usagi's disguised name is now known as Mitsuko Kougetsu. They have new senshi forms which where created when they entered Immen, and they no longer have the same attacks and weapons as they did back when they where known as Sailormoon, Sailormercury, Sailorvenus, etc. Their uniforms have been changed, but their uniforms still continue to remain team based. By the way, for those of you who have questions on why Chibiusa, or Mamoru is not on the cast list of Legendary, we do have our own reasons for that. They may not come in until later in the game, so for those of you interested in this type of role, you're welcome to send me a PM, and we'll discuss things. But until that point in the game, they are not welcomed. The Legendary Senshi is also the most powerful team on Immen Academy. This means that even if they are a student, they are capable of having three powers. If they are a professor, they are capable of having three powers as well even when starting out. There must be one power which is used more frequently than the others. Legendary Senshi can also be Professors or Students.
When creating a senshi or an avatar, please make sure their transformed names are based on Egyptian Mythology. This means that I don't want to see a Sailor Hera's, Sailor Zeus, Sailor Juno's, etc. In our links section you'll find quite a few links that links to Egyptian Mythology websites. Also in regards to names, we do not want to see any full blooded American characters. Your characters must be derived from Asia, Europe, United Kingdom, Africa, and Australia. Names should also be based on your characters element, as the original Sailormoon characters simply screamed their element. If your characters name isn't based on their element, then please have a good reason for this in your application.
Immen Senshi and Avatar's are considered new recruits here on Immen. They have no experience whatsoever when it comes to battling, and fighting unless they are an Isis/Osiris Blue and above. If they are not an Isis/Osiris Blue or above, they are still rather new when it comes to fighting and aren't as experienced. Please remember this when you are choosing your favorite and least favorite subjects, strengths and weaknesses included. Immen Senshi and Avatars can also only start out with one attack. Staff will send you a PM VIA the boards when you are capable of creating another.
Before creating a character, make sure you read everything on our Wiki. If you don't, well then we can automatically tell and we?l reject you on the spot. Everything on the Wiki is required reading.
Characters that attend Immen Academy must be at least 13 years of age. No one can be lower as the Academy will not accept students that are under age. Please remember this when creating your character.
Students at Immen Academy go by RANKS and COLORS. Our female ranks will be known as Isis, while our male ranks will be known as Osiris. All ranks also contain a color group for them. If you are a first year, you are either a female Isis Red or male Osiris Red. If you are a second year, you are either a female Isis Yellow or a male Osiris Yellow. The list continues as you go up our ranks. The highest rank available is for Isis and Osiris Blacks, which are our sixth year students. They have many options available for them, such as the ability to become a Chaser which is the night guard at the Academy and are the most skilled students of the Academy.
You are going to be asked to create an account for each character that you have. This means that if you are playing as Mitsuko Kougetsu, and you want to play as Eshe Chisi, you must create an account for each of them. With each character you create, you create one account for each. Your rpg password is san hikari. You should also register with your characters FIRST NAME. If that name is taken then chose a different name. Secondly, you should also change your Display Name to your characters first and last name after registering. Applicants that fail to do this will have their account deleted.
Posting
There are many categories and places for you to post in on the forums of Cryptic Darkness. Our world is combined of two locations, one being Immen Academy, the other Outside of the academy. Members of the Academy are capable of posting within these two categories, but our world will expand. Students are not allowed to leave the academy unless it's a summer, winter, spring, fall holiday or family emergency unless you are accompanied by a staff of Immen Academy or it's a school trip.
All posts done on the forums, along with the writing sample must be at least 200 words. This means no one liners or semis. Posts also should be done in third person. This means I don't want to see anything done in first person posts. It's too confusing any other way.
If you are the starter of the thread, please use the format below and post it above your post. This is to give off information of your thread so people won't be confused on what's going on. This is only required for those starting a thread. All the information below is required, except for 'continued from thread' Please use this format each time you are starting a new thread in any RPG location as it'll help out with our new timeline, thanks!

God Modeing, in other words 'Power Playing' is not allowed here. This is generally when someone takes over another person's character that isn't there's, claims hits on them, talks out their actions, and plays the role of 'god' in the RPG. This is a big no, no in this game.
Leaves and Aways
When you are leaving or going on vacation, please notify us in the Introductions and the Farewells section of the forums at least a week ahead of time. Failure to do so may lead to deletion of your application and may have your account deleted during activity checks.
